The conversation a company has with itself.
Most small companies in India run internal conversation on personal WhatsApp. It works until somebody leaves, or until a decision that mattered is three hundred messages behind a photograph of a lunch order. Orbit is being designed for that problem and not for a longer feature list than Slack's.
A room per subject, not per person
Channels, so a conversation has a place to live that does not depend on who happened to start it. Someone joining in March can read what was decided in January.
Threads, so a channel stays readable
A reply belongs under the thing it replies to. Without that, one busy morning makes a channel unreadable and everybody quietly goes back to direct messages.
It leaves when the person does
Company conversation on a company account. When someone leaves, the record of what was agreed does not leave with their phone.
Comsky Orbit is in design. This page is the brief, not the product.
There is nothing to sign into, no trial, no price and no date. We would rather this page said so in its own words than leave you to work it out from the absence of a Sign up button. It is being designed as a team messenger on the Comsky account the rest of the suite already uses, so it is not a tenth login — and the problem it is aimed at is companies running internal conversation on personal WhatsApp.

Can I use Orbit today?
No. It is in design: there is no build, no beta and nothing to sign into. Comsky Cloud, Chat and Backup are live today, and CRM, TallyBridge and HRMS are in early access — those you can actually use.
When will it ship?
We do not have a date, and we are not going to pick one so this page has something to say. When there is a date we will put it here and in the email to everybody on the early-access list.
Is this a Slack replacement?
That is the category, yes. What we are not going to do is publish a feature-by-feature comparison against Slack before we have built anything — a grid of ticks against a product that does not exist is worse than no grid.
Will it do calls and video?
Undecided. We would rather tell you that than list it as planned and quietly drop it.
What will it cost?
Unset. Every other product on this site that has no price shows a dash rather than a guess, and this one is the same.
How is this different from Comsky Chat?
Chat is for conversations with your CUSTOMERS — WhatsApp, WhatsApp groups and website chat, in a shared inbox. It is live today. Orbit is for conversations inside your own team. Different people on the other end, different product.
