Questions about Comsky Orbit.
Can I use Orbit today?
Orbit is in early access. Request access and we’ll set up a pilot workspace for your team — a walkthrough call first, then your own workspace. There is no public sign-up: we are taking teams on one at a time.
Does it replace the other tools we use?
Orbit covers team chat, calls, tasks and your daily checklist in one app. Most teams stop needing separate apps for those.
Will my team feel watched?
No. Orbit doesn’t record keystrokes, screen time or location. People see their own goals and progress, and numbers come from the work itself rather than from a form somebody fills in. What it never collects, in full.
Can we bring our chat history?
Yes. Import your export with channels, threads and files, and check a dry run first — original timestamps and authors are kept, and users are matched by email. You can export the whole workspace again at any time.
What will it cost?
Founding-member pricing goes to early-access teams first.
Do we have to take the tasks and the targets?
No. A team can run the chat and leave the rest switched off, and turn it on later, one department at a time. Plenty of teams will want the conversation first.
Can we start with one team rather than the whole company?
That is how early access works — one pilot workspace, one team, and the rest of the company stays where it is until you are ready.
Does it work in Hindi?
Yes, and tested rather than assumed: Hindi text works in messages, in previews and in search, Hinglish with it. Dates read DD MMM YYYY, money is in rupees, and the working calendar is IST with your own holidays in it.
Can we connect it to the systems we already run?
Yes. There is a public API with OpenAPI documentation, webhooks in and out that are signed and retried, and bots and slash commands — so another system can post into a channel, create a task, or react to something that happened in Orbit.
What about calls, and an app for my phone?
Calls and huddles run on the web for up to 50 people with screen sharing, and there are Android and iOS apps and an installable web app. All of that is in early access, switched on per workspace — and to be straight about the phone: the apps have not yet run on a real handset, push notifications are untested on a device, and neither app is in a store. The installable web app is what works on a phone today.
How is this different from Comsky Chat?
Chat is for conversations with your customers over WhatsApp and website chat, and it is live today. Orbit is the conversation inside your own team. Different people on the other end, different product.
And Comsky Mail?
Mail is your company’s own email on your own domain, for everybody outside the team. Orbit is for everybody inside it. Comsky Mail has its own pages.
