Talk it. Task it. Done.

Comsky Orbit is one app for your team’s chat, calls, tasks and daily checklist, so what gets decided in a conversation actually gets done.

Built on the framework Comhard uses to run its own teams.

The problem

Five apps open all day. Or one Orbit.

Chat in one app, calls in another, tasks in a third and your to-do list in a fourth. Decisions get made in one place and forgotten in another.

One app for chat, calls, tasks and your to-do list. Close the other four tabs.

Chat and threads

Every conversation, in its place.

Channels for teams and topics, direct messages for quick questions, and threads so side discussions don’t bury the main one.

  • Public and private channels, DMs, group DMs and threads
  • Mentions, reactions, files, pins and bookmarks
  • Search with filters, including Hindi text; quick switcher and keyboard shortcuts
A message becomes a task

From “let’s do this” to done.

Turn any message into a task with one owner and a date. The task links back to the chat it came from, so nobody asks “where did we decide this?”

  • One clear owner, never “the team”
  • You agree to a task before it’s yours, and can suggest a better date
  • Comments, checklists and files on every task
The dialog that turns a line in a channel into a task. The message it came from is quoted at the top and stays attached to the task afterwards. Drag it sideways to read across. Drawing, not a screenshot
The same task from the other side. It is not yours until you take it — you can accept, suggest a better date, or decline — and a new date carries its reason. Drag it sideways to read across. Drawing, not a screenshot
Your day, already planned

Log in and know what to do.

A morning card lists what’s due today, your recurring work and what you need to finish to stay on track. Your evening summary fills itself in.

  • Recurring tasks set per role, with cover for holidays and leave
  • Checklists for routines like month end or onboarding
  • A daily number that shows its working: month goal, done so far, days left
The morning card, with its arithmetic on it: what the month still needs over the working days that are left, leave already taken off. Drag it sideways to read across. Drawing, not a screenshot
Know where you stand

“Am I on track?” in one tap.

Your KRAs and KPIs live with your daily work, so progress updates itself instead of being typed into a report.

  • Clear KRAs for every role, ready from day one
  • Progress per goal: on track, at risk or behind, and what it takes to catch up
  • Numbers filled in from systems where possible; the one-tap scorecard is in early access
Your own goals, with the working shown: what was asked, what has happened, and where the month lands if nothing changes. Drag it sideways to read across. Drawing, not a screenshot
Calls, huddles and your phone

Talk when typing is slower.

Start a call from any chat, or drop into a huddle attached to a channel. Calls and the Android and iOS apps are in early access.

  • One-to-one and group calls on the web, up to 50 people, with screen sharing
  • Huddles: see who’s in, join in a click, chat saved to the channel
  • Android and iOS apps, plus an installable web app
Switch without starting over

Bring your history with you.

Import a chat export with users matched by email, channels, threads, reactions and files intact, and see a dry run before anything changes.

  • Original timestamps and authors kept
  • A dry run before anything is committed
  • Export your whole workspace any time
Connect your systems

Orbit fits around the tools you keep.

A public API, webhooks and bots let your other systems post into channels, create tasks and react to what happens in Orbit.

A public API

With OpenAPI documentation, so somebody can build against it without asking us for a spec.

Webhooks in and out

Signed, and retried — so an outage at either end does not quietly lose an event.

Bots and slash commands

Like /task, /agenda, /report and /scorecard, run where the conversation already is.

Built for the person doing the work.

Orbit does not record keystrokes, screen time or location. You see your own goals and your own progress, the numbers come from the work itself rather than from a form you fill in, and what is measured is what you finish.

Early access

Get your team on it.

Tell us how your team works today and we will set up a pilot workspace. A walkthrough call first, then your own workspace — we are taking teams on one at a time.

We use this to contact you about Comsky Orbit. We do not sell or share it. See our privacy policy.

Questions

Asked before a team moves.

Can I use Orbit today?

Orbit is in early access. Request access and we’ll set up a pilot workspace for your team.

Does it replace the other tools we use?

Orbit covers team chat, calls, tasks and your daily checklist in one app. Most teams stop needing separate apps for those.

Will my team feel watched?

No. Orbit doesn’t record keystrokes, screen time or location. People see their own goals and progress, and numbers come from the work itself.

Can we bring our chat history?

Yes. Import your export with channels, threads and files, and check a dry run first.

What will it cost?

Founding-member pricing goes to early-access teams first. All questions →
